Alive cells appear to regenerate Manhattan, a neighborhood of Lodz (Poland) which is a neglected space in the centre of the city with its common public areas abandoned. This area has a lot of points in favour because the main tram station of the city is just next to the plot, but also the main street.
People of Lodz missed having a main square to meet and more streets with the opportunity to spend time with people because they only have the main street Piotrkwoska. This is why the project offers an uses condenser to increase the public life of the surroundings.
New organic shapes create the new centre space with a mix of programs and opportunities to spend their free time meeting people.
Green cells, trade cells and social cells appear in different levels from ground. The inside of the cells are composed in the way that a cell would be: with pavements, textures and features that form all the elements that are needed for a cell to have life by itself. But, depending on the type of cell, it has the standard elements that perform the functions of each one.
It also infects the building that has been found on his way: the parking of Manhattan. Now, the cells live also above the building and in its walls.
